Kenyan Wildlife
MAASAI MARA, KENYA . 2013
Wonder is something we never really lose. We simply stop noticing it.
During my journey through Kenya in 2012, I spent time exploring some of the country's remarkable national parks, home to one of the world's richest concentrations of wildlife. Seeing elephants, giraffes, lions and zebras roaming freely across the open savannah was unlike anything a photograph could fully capture. Distances felt greater, the silence more profound, and every encounter unfolded at its own unhurried pace. Nature seemed completely indifferent to our schedules, inviting us to slow down and simply observe.
Perhaps that's one of the reasons we travel. Not only to discover places we've never seen, but to rediscover a sense of wonder that everyday life often hides from us. Looking back at these photographs, I'm reminded that the world has always been extraordinary. Every now and then, we're fortunate enough to notice it again.
