Portraits of the World

From my journeys building connections from around the world

Photographing People Around the World

“There’s something deeply humbling about being invited into someone’s world—if only for a moment. Through my travels, I’ve met people from all walks of life: quiet fishermen by the coast, spirited street vendors, artists in tucked-away studios, elders with stories etched into their faces. Each encounter teaches me something—not just about them, but about myself.

These portraits are more than photographs. They’re conversations, shared silences, laughter over language barriers. They’re moments where connection feels effortless, even if everything else is unfamiliar.

I’ve come to realise that the more people I meet, the more open my heart becomes. With every journey, I don’t just become a better photographer—I become a better human being.

This page is a quiet tribute to those I’ve met around the world. Their faces, their stories, and the small, powerful ways they remind me what it means to see and be seen.” — Ejun Low
