Days in Jeonju
JEONJU, SOUTH KOREA · 2026
Some journeys are best experienced without knowing exactly where they'll lead.
We spent our days wandering through the streets of Jeonju with little more than curiosity to guide us. There was no checklist to complete, no urgency to move on. We'd often take the next turn simply because it looked interesting, discovering cafés, quiet alleyways and little moments we could never have planned. I've realised my favourite part of travelling is no longer reaching the destination. It's wondering where the next turn might lead us.
Perhaps that's what I appreciate most about travelling now. The older I get, the less I remember individual landmarks and the more I remember how a place felt. A conversation over breakfast. An unplanned detour. The comfort of walking beside someone who never asks why you've stopped, because they've already noticed the same thing.
Travel no longer feels like an escape from everyday life. Instead, it's become part of the life we're slowly building together. A chance to explore new places, share familiar moments and return home with memories that belong to both of us.
Some places are beautiful enough to remember on their own. Others become unforgettable simply because of who was there to experience them with.
